PowerShooting....

Lynne the Luddite just caved in and purchased a tiny little Canon PowerShot digital camera for social/recreational picturetaking. (I'm sure the poor sherpa who had to lug my gear in Nepal will be happy to hear that... I'm just one step above the woman who had the sherpa lug her gourmet coffeemaker up Everest).

Right now, I've only had time to load the software onto my PC and read the manual. Hopefully, I'll have time to practice shooting before Barrister's Ball, a.k.a. "the Law School Prom," in a few weeks.

Not Too Late.....

More Photos from KCL

I've been lucky enough to photograph Karme Choling (Barnet, VT) in late spring, summer and now winter.....

View from the purkong.

Exposing for the view out the window gave the shrine room a dark, moody feel.

This is a weird little picture that's hard to explain. The fabric at the left is part of a kata (a silk scarf given as an offering.) I liked the white-on-white, the different textures, and just a peek of color. The composition is unconventional and while it certainly won't win any prizes, it's a private look into someone's devotional practice.

Each trip to Karme Choling is magical and I can't wait to go back in a few months.

Photos from KTD

The following photos were taken at Karma Triyana Dharmachakra in Woodstock, NY. (Yes, THAT Woodstock...) KTD is the North American seat of His Holiness the Karmapa and I just got back from a short retreat there.
