Photographer's Forum Still Likes Me!
Yesterday, I received news that I have been selected as a finalist in Serbin Communications’ Annual Student Photography Contest, which is co-sponsored by Nikon and Photographer’s Forum magazine. (Since I went back to law school, I legitimately qualify for the "student" category.) The hoops we artists have to jump through to stay marketable...(dramatic sigh... imagine a fainting couch...)
More than 3,000 high school, college, university and graduate students from the United States, Canada and around the world submitted their photographs for consideration. As a finalist, my work will be featured in the magazine’s 29th annual, hard-cover publication. (I have to wait another month to see if my pic won a prize or honorable mention.)
I was previously a two-time finalist in Serbin Communications’ Spring Photography Contest, with my work featured in both the 2002 and 2005 Best of Photography Annual publications. But each time is exciting and I'm thankful to be included again.
